Testimonals from Customers:
I wanted to thank you and let you know what a great time I had at your knitting retreat. Chris and Candice were great. I can't believe how much I learned in those three days!
Having been to a few different retreats I can't begin to tell you how great yours was. It was obvious that a great amount of time went into the planning, picking teachers, food and hotel arrangements, games and prizes, daily table information and treats, right down to the thank you notes!
Once again I must also compliment you on your daughter. She has a wonderful personality and is a truly great salesperson! I came home with things from your store that I would never have originally bought thanks to her!
The Mackinaw City Beach Resort was a wonderful hotel. The owners were a true pleaure. I'm so glad that you recommended that hotel to us!
Am looking forward to attending more retreats in the future. Good luck on your new store and all that it holds!

...Cynthia's Fine Yarn & Gifts is like walking into Disneyland for knitters. At first you are overwhelmed by the colors, yarn choices, gift ideas, beautiful garden and trying to reconcile all this in such a small space in a small town.. but it works.
As the eye wanders from room to room, it is like taking a vacation in a knitting fairyland. One has only to walk around and take in the smells, sights and touch the yarns to feel the magic.
The owner, Cynthia, and her daughter Jamie couldn't be more helpful and knowledgeable about patterns, yarns and what is the latest in the fiber world.
And on top of all this, Cynthia's manages to hold the best retreats in Michigan, bringing in published knitters. Not only are the retreats informative and a great learning experience, there is all kinds of fun mixed in including games, prizes, candy and wonderful lunches and treats. All this in a beautiful northern Michigan setting. What could be better?
Put this shop on you to do list, it is a must see. And enjoy the vacation. It's my favorite knit shop!!

...Not only does CYNTHIA'S carry all the wonderful yarn, patterns, and notions I need, but it's such a comfort knowing that I can take these projects back to the shop and ask for help. Cindy is creative and knowledgeable about ways to fix problems so that you'd never know there WAS a problem!
I had a bag that needed major adjustments due to my alteration of the pattern. I was ready to give up on it, but Cynthia was able to look at that "lost cause" bag and give me several suggestions to save it. I now have a bag that I love.
Only at a local yarn shop can you get this kind of personal service.

STORE INFO: Cynthia's is a quaint up-north cottage where knitting is the action in Mackinaw City, Michigan. You'll find unique gifts in the mix of yarn balls and hanks of colors.

A unique northern cottage where many fine hand-dyed yarns fill the rooms from floor to ceiling. Gift items peek out among the yarn. The flowers in the summer create an atmosphere of warmth that lies within the store. You will leave filled with ideas, looking forward to classes, and can't wait to return to the best little shop in the north! If your a knitter its a knitter's heaven and if your not you won't walk out empty handed. Check out the web store for something special!
The shop opens in the spring with an array of flowers surrounding the cottage and stays open six days a week until the first of September, then five days a week until the end of October. At that time the store is open in the winter months at various times pre-arranged. Dropp in's are welcome for classes as you travel, stop and shop or just pick up some helpful tips.
This is my sixth year in the shop and I've loved every minute of it. I hope all of you will keep making the trip to visit. It keeps me on my toes and bringing in new items for you to see.
All items in the store can also be purchased on this Internet store by emailing Cynthia. If you don't see an item your interested in, then please contact me at Cynthias702@aol.com
